In November 2021 the ground floor was completed and we now have a wonderful, welcoming, safe space for worship and fellowship, with the opportunity to increase membership but also to be able to best serve the communities of Rushden and Higham Ferrers answering their needs through the love of Christ.

We have resumed the weekly activities of Keep Fit, the Thursday Group, Girls’ Brigade, Friday Lunches and coffee mornings. We also now have Messy Church meeting monthly. Many outside groups now meet during the week – Higham Ferrers Learning Group, Pilates, Zumba, and Higham Ferrers Piece-makers.

Our Redevelopment Group regularly organise various activities and once again, later in November, we shall be joining in with the ‘Higham Sparkle’ by offering various refreshments and many stalls to buy Christmas items .

Our surveys show that in the renovation of the ground floor there will be new opportunities to provide for the community e.g. Foodbank/community fridge, well-being groups, youth groups, craft activities and much more. With the flexible partitioning planned for the ground floor, where appropriate , activities will run concurrently .

We were delighted to have the car park redeveloped in 2023 – with spaces for several cars and a disabled persons area; with lawns, either side of the path to the Church and a tree and other plants making the whole area most pleasant and very tidy.
