In case you have not
been to Higham recently, the whole Church is now encased in scaffolding.
They have been
continuing to repoint the brickwork and they have had access to the stonework,
at the front of the Church, to find out what repairs are needed.
The internal walls
for the kitchen, meeting room and toilets have beencompleted. For those who
knew the old Church building, the kitchen is now situated where the piano and
‘new’ organ used to be. The Meeting Room has been built the opposite side to
the kitchen, by the door which led through to the Schoolroom. The toilets are
in between these two, with a passageway down the middle.
There has been some delay
on the build, due to problems with the steels supports, but these arrived on
site at the end of last week and are in the process of being put in place. This
will then allow the first floor to be added.
We are now beginning
to make decisions about colour schemes and other finer details.
We are very excited
about the progress that has been made so far and can see our vision slowly
Please continue to pray for the work and the impact it will have on our communities.
